Easy To Clean Juicers

When you’re considering what model of juicers to get, one of the most important things to look for are easy to clean juicers. You don’t want a juicer that is complicated to assemble and then take apart for cleaning. It will add time to your juicing experience and likely cause you to lose the incentive to juice. Any extra time spent cleaning a juicer is likely to make you less apt to use it again.

What Makes a Juicer Easy To Clean?

There are two different juicer designs: Auger and Centrifugal.

Auger juicers are the most popular design among people who are serious about juicing. They are the best juicer for leafy greens. They are also better because they preserve the enzymes and don’t heat the juice. So, you get a cold processed juice.

Auger Juicers are also easy to clean. The mechanism which separates the juice from the vegetables and fruit is resembles a screw. This screw is really easy to clean. You just wash it off under the faucet.

Centrifugal juicers, on the other hand, are difficult to clean. That’s because of how they extract juice from vegetables and fruits. A centrifugal juicer uses a disc that looks like a cheese grater. This spins very fast and it shreds the fruit and vegetables. Besides not being a good juicer for leafy greens, it is also hard to clean. You need to use a brush to scrub the entire thing. It takes a long time.

What are Easy To Clean Juicers?

You should choose an auger juicer. You can get either an upright or a horizontal auger juicer.

Horizontal juicers are the original design. I use one and I find it very easy to clean. It takes less than a minute to clean the entire thing. I just wash off the parts under running water and then let them dry.

Vertical  juicers are more expensive. This is because they take up less space on the table. There are some vertical juicers that have larger feed tubes. These are easier because they don’t require you to chop up the fruits and vegetables as small as with regular chutes.

My Pick for the Best Easy To Clean Juicers

I like Omega, they were the pioneers in masticating juicers. They understood the importance of auger juicers and designed their products for people who wanted an easy to clean juicer and one that would extract the maximum juice from leafy greens and fruits.

This is perfect if you want a juicer that is fast to prep and easy to clean. The wide mouth means you won’t have to do as much prep as you normally would have to do.

This is an awesome juicer. It is really easy to clean. I use this particular model.

It is a vertical model. You will have to do a bit of prep when cutting your vegetables, but that’s it. The vegetable prep is the longest process. It never takes me more than a minute  to clean the thing.

You might also want to take a look at self cleaning juicers. These tend to be the vertical style juicers.
